Crystallisation of a copolymer in Selective Solvent: Kinetics and Morphology
University of Bayreuth

Adriana Mihut is a PhD student in the Polyfilm Network working at the University Bayreuth, in the group of Prof. Dr. Georg Krausch. She obtained her M.Sc. degree from the Department of Physics, “Babes-Boylai” University Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She participate as an exchange student of Erasmus- Socrates program during her master degree at “Joseph Fourier” University, Grenoble, France, in the group MOTIV(Matériaux, Optique et Techniques Instrumentales pour le Vivant) of Dr.Patrice Baldeck. Her research project was focused on the formation of 2D and 3D metal nano/micro pattering by photo-precipitation of metallic object with two photon absorption. During the time spent in the Laboratoire de Spectrometrie Physique in Grenoble, France she acquired work experience with optical microscopy and spectroscopy and with the experimental techniques involving a femtosecond laser.

During her PhD she is studying the crystallization of block-copolymers in a selective solvent (good solvent for the amorphous block only) using different techniques, particularly scattering (SAXS, WAXS, DLS, DDLS) and electron microscopy (cryo-TEM).
